Clariant Healthcare Packaging designs and manufactures controlled atmosphere packaging solutions that protect nutritional products, nutraceuticals and probiotics from humidity and oxygen, the major pathways to degradation.  To maintain product stability and shelf life, Clariant’s products incorporate active components – desiccants, oxygen scavengers, and adsorbent polymers – with high barrier container-closure systems. 

Products include drop-in style desiccant packets and canisters ideal for bottle packaging; tubes and desiccant stoppers widely used for effervescent tablets; Integrated Desiccant Closures (IDC®); Oxy-Guard® Barrier Bottles; and EQ-Pak® and EQ-Can® humidity regulators.  High quality desiccants and engineered sorbents are used including silica gel, molecular sieve, humidity-neutral oxygen scavengers, activated carbon, Advanced Desiccant Polymer (ADP®), and combination productions (i.e. 2-in-1 Desiccant-Carbon or Desiccant-Oxygen Scavenger).

Clariant's global footprint includes worldwide production plants and regional customer service sites that allow for close attention to customer needs and Business Continuity Planning (BCP).  Major production plants are located in the U.S., France, and China, and a new plant in India will join the network of sites in 2017.
